Smart Notes Documentation
Welcome to the official documentation for Smart Notes. This guide covers everything from getting started to mastering the new features in version 2.0.
🚀Getting Started
Smart Notes is a Progressive Web App (PWA). This means you can access it directly from your browser or install it on your device for an app-like experience.
Installation
- Desktop (Chrome/Edge): Click the install icon in the address bar.
- iOS (Safari): Tap the "Share" button and select "Add to Home Screen".
- Android (Chrome): Tap the menu (three dots) and select "Install app".
✅Task Management
Version 2.0 introduces integrated task management. You can now create To-Do lists alongside your notes.
How to use:
- Create a new note or open an existing one.
- Click the "Checkbox" icon in the toolbar.
- Type your task and press Enter.
- Click the checkbox to mark a task as complete.
💻Code Snippets
Developers can now store code snippets with proper syntax highlighting.
Supported Features:
- Syntax highlighting for 50+ languages.
- One-click copy to clipboard.
- Auto-detection of language (optional).
☁️Cloud Sync (Optional)
By default, Smart Notes stores data locally. You can enable Cloud Sync to access your notes across multiple devices.
Go to Settings > Sync and sign in to enable this feature. Your data is end-to-end encrypted.
🔒Privacy Policy
Your privacy is paramount. Here is how we handle your data:
- Local First: Data is stored in your browser's IndexedDB by default.
- Encryption: If you use Cloud Sync, notes are encrypted on your device before upload.
- No Tracking: We do not track your usage content or sell your data.
